Create Domain

Attribute domains are rules that describe the legal values of a field type. Multiple feature classes and tables can share attribute domains stored in the database. However, not all the objects in a feature class or table need to share the same attribute domains.

Step 1-
ArcToolbox - Data Management Tools - Domains - Create Domain

Step 2 -

Step 3 -
Assign your geodatabase as the "Input Workspace"

Step 4 -

select "Text" as the field type and leave the optional fields at it is.

Step 5 -

Then Select the feature class you need- right click- properties

Step 6 -
Select the field needed to be connect the the domain, then in the field properties select the domain you have created.

Step 7 -
after it select "Subtypes" - select you field- then click "Domain" button

Step 8 -

Step 9 -

In the "Coded Value" for "code" you have to assign the field value in you layer attribute table and
in "Description" you can type any description you need

Step 10 -

Now you can see you earlier values has been replaced by your domain descriptions

Step 11 -

Otherwise you can assign add new filed and add the descriptions in the domain

Create Digital Terrain Model

Digital terrain model is a digital model or 3D representation of a terrain's surface — commonly for a planet (including Earth), moon, or asteroid — created from terrain elevation data.

Step 1 ,
Right click on feature dataset --- New --- Terrain

Step 2 -

add your terrain shape file

Step 3-

Next

Step 4-

Provide necessary information as required

Step 5 -

Select Pyramid Properties --- Next

Step 6-
Next

    Step 7 -

Terrain model is created, now we have to convert Terrain to TIN

Step 8 -

Arc Toolbox - 3D Analyst Tools - Conversions - From Terrain - Terrain to TIN

Step 9-
Select your terrain model as Input Terrain

Step 10-

Digital TIN model created, but you have to open from ArcScene to see the TIN model

Step 11 -

Create Feature Dataset in ArcGIS

A feature dataset is a collection of related feature classes that share a common coordinate system. Feature datasets are used to spatially or thematically integrate related feature classes. Their primary purpose is for organizing related feature classes into a common dataset for building a topology, a network dataset, a terrain dataset, or a geometric network.

Step 1,

Right click on the Geodatabase --- New --- Feature Dataset

Step 2 -

Give a name as you wish --- Next

Step 3,

Assign a coordinate system to feature dataset,

Step 4,

after assigning the coordinate system just press next till its finish... Done

Create GeoDatabase in ArcGIS

Create GeoDatabase in ArcGIS

The geodatabase is the common data storage and management framework for ArcGIS. It combines "geo" (spatial data) with "database" (data repository) to create a central data repository for spatial data storage and management.

Three types of Geo Databases available with ArcGIS

  1. Enterprise GeoDatabase
  2. File  GeoDatabase
  3. Personal GeoDatabase

following are the steps to create Personal GeoDatabase..

Step 1,

select location to create GeoDatabase

Step 2,

Right click on the location --- New --- Personal  GeoDatabase

Step 3,

Give a name as you wish and the format will be .mdb Done..
